Husran is the ninth mission of Settlers 6. In this mission, the City of Husran has been controlled by The Red Prince and cuts off the only water supply for the surrounding villages. The player is tasked with providing water supplies for the villages.

Strategy[]

It is very difficult to lose this mission, as the player will only lose the mission if they continuously fail to send the villages water, which is constantly replenished at the Marketplace. In addition, the City of Husran will never attack the player's castle, although they can take the player's outposts.

Destroying the City of Husran[]

Destroying Husran is completely optional and will be difficult to achieve, it is possible for the player to destroy the enemy city. Although it is impossible to produce a catapult in this mission as the player's title is locked before they can be promoted to a duke, it is possible to destroy the city with only a battering ram. The player should first occupy every other territory, with the exception of the villages, cutting off the city's resources. Then the player should storm into the city as quickly as possible after destroying a gate, as the enemy can build mounted catapults. After defeating the enemy soldiers in the city, a large number of the settlers will likely be striking because of the lack of resources. However, the castle, storehouse, and cathedral are all very difficult to destroy with just torches.

If the player destroys a civilian building, the AI will usually replace it immediately with a new building. However, if the player burns a civilian building to a lower level, the AI will usually not try to upgrade the building again. After the player does this, they should attack the castle with one battalion of soldiers. Once the fire has been extinguished, the player should attack the castle again with a different battalion of soldiers, and send the other battalion back to an outpost to replenish their torches. If the player repeats this, the city will eventually be completely destroyed. However, the enemy knight will continuously spawn and may attack the player's army, making it slightly harder.

Introduces[]

  • Wells
  • Lions
  • The desert climate
  • Enemy knights

Trivia[]

  • The enemy knight in Husran is listed as Marcus, and he has the exact same model as Marcus. In the other levels, Marcus is also used as a placeholder knight.
    • This is also the first mission with an enemy knight.
    • There is likely a knight because the City of Husran needs to claim territories to be able to gain resources, as they only start with one territory.
