Hendella is the second mission in Settlers 6: Eastern Realm. In this mission, there is a group of hostile priests who attempt to forcefully convert the surrounding villages to the Cult of Khana.

Strategy[]

Camp Rachnish will continuously send three battalions of cultists to attack the Village of Haoshia once the player discovers the village. The village will thus continuously request wood to make repairs, as the villagers will desert the region if too many of their buildings are destroyed. Except for the end, the rest of the mission is very easy to play through as the cultists will never attack the player's city and do not have siege engines.

The Holy Cow[]

Near the end of the mission, the Temple of Hendella will ask the player to guard a sacred cow and protect it until he can reach all of the villages. The cultists will actively try to kill the cow, and the player will fail the mission if she dies. If the player simply builds up a large army and escorts the cow the entire way, the cow will not be killed.

Destroying Camp Rachnish[]

Destroying the enemy camp is not required to win the mission and is very difficult to achieve, but it is possible. The player can be promoted to archduke and unlock all three of the siege engines in this mission. The enemy camp is located on a higher ground, and the only entrance is very steep and narrow. The camp is guarded by a stone wall. Because of this, it is near impossible to send out large numbers of soldiers to crowd the entrance, and they will likely continuously try to reach their destination and keep moving on the spot instead of attacking the enemy. Likewise, it is very difficult to move a siege engine up the path. It is also possible that the enemy will construct mounted catapults and place archers on the stone walls. In addition, if they have attacked the Village of Haoshia for over an hour of real-time, it is likely that the number of soldiers guarding the camp will be in the hundreds, if the player has not attacked them yet. This is because the camp continuously spawns new cultists without a barracks to attack the village, and a fresh group of battalions will spawn every few attacks. Finally, there is only a single spot on the top of the slope that leads to the stone gate in which an assembled siege engine can fit.
