Hakim

"I trust your wisdom"

Hakim is a Knight in Settlers 6: Rise of an Empire. He is introduced in the campaign during Narfang, where he is held captive by Crimson Sabatt.

Passive Ability[]

Hakim's knowledge of construction reduces the cost of upgrading buildings. This does not apply to the initial construction, and does not affect Outposts or the Castle, Cathedral or Storehouse.

For example, upgrading a Woodcutter's Hut to level 2 normally costs three wood, but when Hakim is available, it will instead cost two, the same as constructing the hut in the first place.

This ability allows Hakim to rapidly expand his settlement early on using his starting resources while also reducing how much wood must be gathered to sustain both construction and Broom Maker's Huts. It is also highly effective in maps with a hot climate, as these maps tend to have less trees available than other climates.

Active Ability[]

Hakim can persuade enemy troops to fight on his side. When used in melee range, he will convert the nearest battalion. Converted battalions will have the same number of units and torches as they had before being converted, meaning using the ability at the start of a fight, before the unit has been attacked, gives the biggest advantage. The unit will cost upkeep and soldier limit the same way as other units do.

This ability cannot convert animals or battalions that are manning Outposts or walls.

The ability can be combined with Hakim's own strength as a Knight to allow him to take on far stronger forces on his own than other Knights can. This can be particularly effective in scenarios where an enemy AI immediately starts with an army, allowing the player to harass the AI or fight off wild animals that a Knight can't beat on their own before even reaching the rank of Sheriff.

Trivia[]

  • Hakim is most likely based on Helias from Settlers 5.
